Bakey Bakey

As part of Cahaya’s SkillsPresent program, we worked together with one of our youths from secondary school to kickstart her very own online business. During our conversations, she expressed a keen interest in baking and entrepreneurship, and our mentors decided to help her on this journey. We sat down and worked on a business plan teaching her the fundamentals of marketing, budgeting, and accounting. In no time, Bakey Bakey was born! Our very first products were some seriously addictive fudgy chocolate brownies and boy were they a hit! Not going to lie we had to muster up some serious self-control to resist eating the whole tray. I mean look at the pictures, do they not look glorious? All in all, we’re so thankful that so many showed their support. Within the first 3 weeks of our launch we managed to sell 85 pieces! A huge achievement indeed.

In case you’re wondering, most of the pictures you see below were all taken by her, and she even manages Bakey Bakey’s social media account too. How amazing is that! Our kids never fail to amaze us with their intelligence, resourcefulness, and creativity, Cahaya hopes that we can continue supporting our youths on their journey no matter what it may be so that they can develop to their fullest potential.
