Fun in the Sun! Cahaya Camp 2023
Through a 2D1N camp, our kids went through a series of reflective programmes aimed to build self-confidence and cammaderie. During activities, such as the blinded night walk and river of life, the children had to overcome their insecurity and work with their peers to overcome the challenges. It was humbling to see the growth and maturity, and we are certainly up for the next one!
Trailblazers unite! Cahaya camp 2022
We held our first ever annual camp at Boy’s Brigade Campsite., one of our largest physical event for the children. This transformative experience aimed to foster team spirit, responsibility and judgment. From thrilling activities such as Team-building amazing race and water games to a workshop on perseverance, our children enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities that broadened their horizons and nurtured their personal growth.
Sports day: Fearless Foxes Cup
Since 2022, we’ve been holding the Fearless Foxes Cup with volunteers from Nikko Asset Management. This lively event highlights the rising soccer stars and promotes teamwork through thrilling football and captain's ball competitions. It provides a fantastic opportunity for our children to showcase their skills, bond with peers, and to make new friends across the communities we serve.
Cahaya Changemakers
The Cahaya Changemakers programme provides children with service-learning opportunities to recognize their innate gift to care and love, and it strives to build a nurturing community of compassionate and responsible individuals. It was inspired by a team of volunteers who believed that the children have much to contribute to the community. Engaging the children in acts of service recognises them not in terms of their problems and circumstances, but in their strengths and capacity to give.
Cahaya team building challenge
We set off on an exciting adventure to Lower Pierce Reservoir, where a day of team-building challenges awaited! From mastering group jumps with a rope to cracking tricky knot puzzles, each activity was crafted to ignite teamwork and personal growth. Our children dove into the action with enthusiasm, developing invaluable life skills and creating unforgettable memories—all while soaking in the stunning natural beauty around us.
