Jerome Lee

Jerome is an undergraduate from the National University of Singapore, where he is pursuing a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics.  

Jerome started his volunteering journey in primary school and his interest and passion in community development has been growing throughout the years. His first interaction with community work was with the elderly community in Geylang Bahru, where he takes part in befriending activities weekly. He developed his interest further by taking part in different overseas projects to Indonesia and Cambodia during his school days. Through these projects, he managed to learn more about community development through serving the different communities.

Among the different elements of a community project, Jerome enjoys interacting with the families the most. He believes that the foundation for every community work starts with love, trust and respect. Jerome is inspired by the commitment that the members of Cahaya have for the families and thus, he started his journey with Cahaya in May 2020. 

Jerome is fluent in dialects such as Hokkien and this might be a reason for his high popularity among the senior citizen community. His endless supply of jokes also provides countless hours of joy for the people around him. Jerome is also a firm believer of how pineapple do belong on pizza
